Value Added Oilfield Services
Bringing Value to the Energy Industry
VAOS is a true one-stop-shop for oilfield services — a single contractor capable of covering the full range of disciplines required to build, maintain and optimise oil, gas and petrochemical facilities.
From pipeline construction and storage tank installation to automated tank cleaning, process plant maintenance and production enhancement, our teams deliver across every phase of the asset lifecycle.
With over 40 years of operational experience and more than 400 completed projects, we have the depth and breadth to take on the most demanding work in the most challenging environments.

Production Enhancement and Flow Assurance (PEFA)
Production decline is an inevitable challenge in every mature oilfield — but it does not have to mean reduced output.
VAOS provides well stimulation and flow assurance services designed to restore and enhance hydrocarbon production from both active and idle wells.
Our matrix stimulation techniques address formation damage caused by scale, wax, paraffin, hydrates and inorganic deposits, restoring the flow path in both sandstone and carbonate reservoirs.
For carbonate formations, our targeted overpressure treatments increase permeability and create uniform wormhole networks that maximise hydrocarbon mobility.
Every programme is engineered to the specific reservoir conditions, with detailed analysis preceding each intervention.
The result: measurably higher production rates, extended well life and improved recovery from existing assets — without the cost of new drilling.

New Installations: Pipeline & Storage Tanks
Since 1983, VAOS has designed, fabricated and installed storage tanks, pipelines and structural steelwork for the oil, gas and petrochemical sector across Libya and beyond.
Our track record includes more than 30 storage tanks with capacities up to 1,000,000 barrels and over 500 km of installed and repaired pipeline.
We manage the full scope — from detailed engineering and material procurement through to on-site construction, inspection and commissioning — for individual components and complete turnkey installations alike.
All work is executed to API standards using certified materials, with quality assurance built into every stage of the project.
Whether the requirement is a new crude oil storage tank, a large-diameter export pipeline or a complete tank farm upgrade, VAOS has the experience, equipment and in-country presence to deliver reliably and on schedule.
Process Plant Construction & Modernisation
VAOS delivers process plant construction and modernisation services for the oil, gas and petrochemical industry — from greenfield installations built from the ground up to the revamping and upgrading of existing facilities.
Our multidisciplinary teams cover the full range of construction disciplines: civil, mechanical, piping, structural steel, electrical, instrumentation and surface protection.
This integrated capability allows us to manage complex, multi-discipline projects under a single contract, reducing client coordination overhead and maintaining consistent quality across all workstreams.
We maintain a strong in-country presence in Libya, with qualified local manpower and established logistics capability that enables a faster, more responsive service than international contractors working without regional infrastructure.
All construction work meets API standards and is supported by a structured quality assurance and HSE programme.

General Maintenance
Reliable maintenance is the foundation of safe, efficient oilfield operations. Since 1983, VAOS has provided general maintenance services to oil, gas and petrochemical operators in Libya — supporting the ongoing performance of critical production and processing infrastructure.
Our maintenance teams are experienced across the full range of oilfield disciplines, including mechanical, piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation works.
We provide both planned preventive maintenance programmes and rapid-response corrective maintenance, with the in-country resources to mobilise quickly and minimise production impact.
All maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with international HSE standards and client-specific requirements, with detailed reporting provided as standard.
Our long-term relationships with Libya's national oil companies reflect a consistent track record of reliable, professional delivery over more than four decades.
Drilling Services
VAOS provides specialist cathodic protection drilling services for large-scale infrastructure, pipeline networks and industrial facilities requiring reliable long-term corrosion protection.
Our dedicated CP drilling team handles the full scope of cathodic protection drilling works, including shallow CP holes and deep CP wells to depths of up to 373 metres.
We manage anode installation, chemical backfilling with specialist conductive materials, and all associated civil works — ensuring optimal electrical conductivity and long-term system performance.
In addition to cathodic protection works, the team has experience supporting deep water well drilling operations in technically challenging geological environments.
Notable projects include the Great Man Made River Project and deep ground cathodic protection wells at 103D.

Automated Tank Cleaning (ATC)
VAOS is a specialist provider of automated tank cleaning and hydrocarbon recovery services for crude oil storage tanks, refined product tanks and process vessels at refineries, tank terminals and oilfield facilities.
Our automated tank cleaning system is fully enclosed, mobile and modular — and requires no personnel to enter the tank at any stage of the operation.
Remotely operated cleaning heads are deployed through existing tank nozzles, using high-pressure jet streams and heated diluent circulation to break down and recover sludge deposits.
The closed-loop system achieves hydrocarbon recovery rates consistently above 97%, significantly reducing waste volumes and allowing recovered product to be reintroduced directly into the production stream.
Compared to conventional manual cleaning methods, our ATC system reduces tank downtime by up to 80%, eliminates confined space entry risk, and minimises environmental impact throughout the operation.
Case Study:
VAOS was contracted by Zueitina Oil Company (ZOC) to clean a 560,000-barrel crude oil storage tank with an estimated sludge content of 40,300 barrels.
The tank featured a double floating deck, making manual access both difficult and hazardous.
Using the ATC system, VAOS recovered 40,250 barrels of crude oil — a 99.89% recovery rate — with a commercial value of $4,594,189, zero injuries and full environmental compliance.
Key advantages of the VAOS ATC system: zero man-entry, ATEX-compliant equipment, up to 99%+ hydrocarbon recovery, up to 80% reduction in tank downtime, closed-loop environmental controls, suitable for floating and fixed roof tanks.
Specialized in Oil & Gas Facilities
VAOS specialises in construction, repair, revamping, inspection and cleaning services for technically demanding oil, gas and petrochemical facilities — from storage tank farms and processing plants to refineries and export terminals.
Our teams bring together engineering expertise and proven field experience to deliver reliable, high-quality results across all project types.
We work closely with clients to understand their specific operational requirements, integrating our services seamlessly into existing infrastructure and workflows.
Every project is underpinned by a strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental responsibility — meeting international industry standards and client-specific requirements as a matter of course, not an afterthought.

Ionized Heavy Oil Flow Process (IHOF)
Heavy crude oil represents an estimated 30–40% of the world's total oil reserves — but its high viscosity, elevated density and poor flow characteristics make it costly and technically demanding to transport through conventional pipeline systems.
VAOS offers MAX FLOW™, a proprietary ionization-based technology that significantly improves the flow characteristics of heavy crude oil without the use of chemicals, diluents or external heating.
The process works by passing crude oil through a controlled ionization chamber, where a precisely regulated ionization field temporarily reduces the intermolecular forces between heavy hydrocarbon chains.
The result is a measurable reduction in viscosity and flow resistance, allowing heavy crude to move more efficiently through pipelines and transport systems.
MAX FLOW™ offers operators of heavy crude assets a practical, chemical-free alternative to conventional flow improvement methods — reducing energy consumption, eliminating chemical handling risks and improving overall pipeline economics.
