VAOS is now in a position to offer Drilling Rigs, complete with all needed auxiliary equipment and accessories having capacity to drill to 2,300-meter total depths.

The newly established Drilling Division of VAOS is staffed with highly qualified and experienced personnel having very good background in the field of Water Well and CP Hole Drilling in Libya. Our team, comprising of excellent professional Drilling Engineers, Geophysicists, Hydrogeologists and Drillers, have acquired their extensive experience mostly in Libya over the last 15 - 20 years while previously employed with reputable water well drilling contractors.

VAOS drilling division operations

In general, while performing for their previous employers , VAOS Drilling Division personnel have taken part in the execution of the following activities :

Water Well Drilling (Civil Sector)

Drilling and completion of water wells, piezometric and observation wells with total depths ranging from 80 to 2300 m.

Cathodic protection (CP) hole drilling

Drilling, anode-placing and chemical backfilling works on CP holes and deep CP wells with total depths reaching to 1225 feet.

In July 2003, VAOS has entered into a subcontract agreement for the drilling of 40090, with an average depth of 10 m and installation of sacrificial anodes for corrosion protection of the GREAT MAN MADE RIVER - our contribution to one of the largest projects in engineering history.
The execution of the project is scheduled to start in October 2003 and the scope of works covers also the anode and chemical backfill installation.
