INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
VAOS is committed to improving its internal procedures and organisational systems. Since August 2002, it has embarked upon a continuous improvement programme aimed at standardising its internal operations and aligning them with international management standards. VAOS’ Quality Management System was third party audited and certified to ISO 9001 standards in October 2004. The certification covers: construction, installation, revamping and maintenance of facilities, components and/or plants for crude oil and petrochemical industry, automated sludge recovery and tank cleaning activities.
In its quest for continuous improvement, VAOS focused on its Safety Management System where the requirements for ISO 45001 were adopted as a basic benchmark. Safety Management Protocols were developed, deployed and integrated to its existing Quality Management System and in November 2007, VAOS underwent its first recertification audit of ISO 9001 and its initial certification process for ISO 45001, passing both with flying colours. Since then, VAOS’ Integrated Management System has passed all recertification audits and is now certified by TUV Austria/Hellas. Our next step is to demonstrate our ‘green’ credentials through certification to ISO 14001 – International Environmental Management Systems Standard.
